Nomada Studio is an independent software studio dedicated to building thoughtful, beautifully crafted applications that help people learn, create, and explore.

Nomada Studio designs and develops consumer mobile applications and software products — start to finish, in house. We choose our own problems and we ship our own work.

Kaya
Modern Chinese learning.
Master Chinese vocabulary through flashcards, real examples, and personalized practice.
Kaya is a mobile application designed to make learning Chinese more effective, more intuitive, and considerably more enjoyable. It is currently in development at Nomada Studio.

Real example sentences turn isolated vocabulary into Chinese you can actually use, with pinyin and meaning close at hand.

Personalized exercises move you past recognition and into recall — building sentences, not just reading them.
Availability
Kaya has not been released yet. It is in active development and will be announced here when it is ready. We would rather take the extra time than ship something we would not use ourselves.

Nomada Studio is an independent software company that builds and publishes its own products. We are not an agency and we do not take client work. Everything we release is designed, developed, and supported here.
Staying small is a deliberate choice. It keeps the distance between an idea and a shipped detail very short, and it means the people who decide what a product should be are the same people who build it.
